The Sheridan Area Water Supply Joint Powers Board held their monthly meeting Wednesday night. Other than approving the consent agenda, the one item discussed at the meeting was---meetings. SAWS Chairman Tom Ringley:
Chairman Ringley is not exaggerating when he says they've had some short meetings---last month's clocked in at under five minutes.
However, the Board ultimately decided to continue with monthly meetings. Because SAWS is essentially a million and a half dollar business, Chairman Ringley says quarterly gatherings may be a long period between meetings:
While the board did decide to stay with monthly meetings, the board left open the possibility of canceling more meetings if there was absolutely no new business to conduct.
Ironically, the SAWS meeting about meetings—with nothing but the consent agenda voted on--was one of the longer meetings the Board has held recently.
