This Saturday, the Buffalo Downtown Association will present their “Light Up Buffalo” events to kick off the Christmas Holiday season in conjunction with National Small Business Saturday.
Small Business Saturday encourages shoppers to buy from local, small businesses as opposed to the big box stores and internet retailers.
Shop merchants downtown and throughout the day beginning at 10am.
From 1 to 3pm, carriage rides with Santa will be offered and there will be carolers on Main Street.
At 5:30pm is the professional fireworks display at Prosinski Park.
At 6pm there will be a party and dance at Deerfield's featuring the band “Gun Shy,” and there will be champagne, chocolate, appetizers, wine tasting and limited-edition items for sale.
At 7pm will be the Festival of Trees Auction at Deerfield's beginning with the Johnson County Arts and Humanities Council's dollhouse raffle and the Christmas Bike Drawing with the live auction wrapping up the evening.
