CHEYENNE (AP) - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is making his first public campaign stop in Wyoming. Romney was scheduled to be in Lincoln and Teton counties in western Wyoming on Thursday. He is the first presidential hopeful to campaign publicly in Wyoming in advance of next year's elections.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports that Romney will hold a meet and greet at the Afton Civic Center and attend two fundraisers - one near Afton and another in Wilson. The former Massachusetts governor easily won the 2008 Wyoming Republican presidential caucuses but eventually lost the party nomination to Arizona Sen. John McCain.
