The Rocky Mountain International Roundup that began Sunday and will wrap up today in Buffalo has been a huge success, according to Buffalo Chamber of Commerce Director Angela Jarvis and Assistant Director Rachel McCaughey.
During a break in the roundup Monday, both said the European visitors have become acquainted with Buffalo and the region, and so far are very impressed with what they have seen and experienced.
Volunteers have helped with every aspect of putting this roundup on from washing dishes to picking the visitors up from area airports and bringing them here to many other necessary but unrecognized tasks. Everyone in the community has done something to help, and Jarvis, McCaughey and the European visitors have all noticed and appreciate the community helping to welcome them here, they said.
Widar Jensen, who is here from Norway, gave his impression of Buffalo and the area.
The RMI Roundup will conclude after today's Marketplace II and tonight's Buckle Dinner at 7pm.
