Johnson County Representative Mike Madden just began his third term. We recently had a conversation by phone and asked him if he supports Governor Mead's proposal to divert $156 million from the Permanent Mineral Trust Fund to Cities, Highways and the state's Rainy Day Account. He replied.
Madden goes on to say that $50-some million was to go to funding roads, but he says.
And intending no pun, Madden says he doesn't think the proposal will “get any wheels” and move forward through the legislative body.
