State Representative Rosie Berger has been named chair of The Council of State Governments-West. In a media release issued by CSG-West, it stated that Berger had previously served as chair-elect and vice chair of the organization, as well as a graduate of its Western Legislative Academy, among other roles.
Among Berger's duties as chair, she will preside of the CSG-West 65th annual meeting that will take place this summer in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Berger said that she is excited for the opportunity and that she looks forward to working with the new executive director and staff of CSG-West during her chairmanship.
The CSG-West provides a nonpartisan platform for regional cooperation and collaboration among the legislatures of the thirteen western states by creating opportunities for legislators and staff to share ideas and experience with their colleagues.
