The Sheridan Recreation District will have some restructuring to do next month, as its slated to loose a valuable facility asset.
The old Woodland Park School has served the district as an events venue for years, but the time has come for the building and the district to go their own ways. Director, Richard Wright, explains.
With interested buyers on the open market, the building is slated to be vacated by both the school and recreation districts.
Wright said a total of four employees will be out of work due to the building's closing, and the unavailability of the old school facility highlight's the district's need for a community center or multi-use facility. The department's last planned event in the old facility is the annual Halloween Carnival, which will be next weekend. Stay tuned to Sheridan Media News for more on that event.
