RAWLINS, Wyo. (AP) - A 31-year-old Rawlins man accused of stabbing another man in a street fight over has pleaded not guilty of attempted murder and assault and battery. Authorities say Babby Schaper stabbed a 23-year-old man on the street on Sept. 11 after the two fought over Schaper's wife. According to an affidavit, the injured man started the fight by pushing or punching Schaper.The Rawlins Times reports that the 23-year-old was stabbed in the chest, but survived. The tip of the knife broke off and was embedded in a rib bone, where it was left. Schaper is being held in lieu of bond.
