Sheridan residents will notice an increase in their water and sewer bill effective July 1, as the Sheridan City Council approved the increase as part of their budget for the fiscal year. City Utilities Director Dan Roberts says that staff has worked closely with Stepwise Consultants on developing a financial plan for the utilities.
The increase is for the next two fiscal years and the average customer's bill will go up by about $5.00 a month this year and the next. The Council also approved rate increases over the next two years for the solid waste division. Solid waste fees for City customer's will go up $3.00 a month beginning July 1 for this fiscal year and $1.70 a month for fiscal year 2013. Commercial rates and landfill tipping fees will also increase over the next two fiscal years as well.
