After local music-store owner Jon Quarterman's, Q-Man Music, house burned down last week, it seems that every musician in the county wanted to help him in his efforts to rebuild it – and that's only a slight exaggeration. A fundraiser, Burn this House, almost had to be a two-day event says Joel Saur, of the band Gumby Brown, who helped put together the approximately 12 bands that wanted to play at the benefit.
Saur added that there was so much support for the fundraiser that it almost had to be a two-day event, but they decided to just make it a 12 to 12 all-day music fundraiser. Saur and his band Gumby Brown will play in the main event starting at 10 pm.
Quarterman's house is located on Higby Road behind K-Mart and tickets are a $20 recommended donation.
