Kendrick Park was the site of the 2nd Annual Jodi’s Heart Pumpkin Carving and Decorating Contest this past Saturday afternoon.
Music, a spook house, and lunch were all part of the fun, but the gist of the afternoon was the fine array of jack-o-lanterns carved by the clients and public alike.
A family event, contestants had to pay $1 to enter their prized pumpkins into the judging.
Included in this year's pumpkin judging was how much time each client spent making their creations. Director Jodi Smith explains.
Michael Vanderhoef is a client at Jodi’s Heart and drew a truck and horse trailer on his pumpkin…all by himself.
Jodi's Heart serves clients with special needs and brain injuries.
Look for the prize-winning pumpkins which will be displayed about town.
