Wyomingites have a new tool to help them navigate the confusing world of health insurance, thanks to Project Healthcare.
With the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, dealing with health insurance companies is going to become a reality for all of us in one way or another. Marguerite Herman, a consumer representative with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, serves on the committee for Project Healthcare. She said most people don't have a crystal clear idea about how their insurance policies work.
Project Healthcare has developed a web-based resource for Wyoming citizens to get information and share stories about their health care and insurance experiences within the state. New sections explaining the Affordable Care Act have recently been implemented to help guide those who will be buying insurance for the first time. Herman warns to consumers to be wary of super cheap policies that seem too good to be true.
You can access Project Healthcare at www.wyoprojecthealthcare.com, and hopefully get your insurance questions answered before an issue arises.
