The City of Buffalo has found some possible issues with their new wastewater treatment plant, which has been finished less than a year.
Some of the issues were discussed at the last city council meeting when councilman Bruce Hepp asked City Works Director Les Hook about specific problems he had heard about.
The contractor has been on site recently to perform warranty work, but has not fixed some of the problems at the plant. Hook explains the problem.
The air conditioning unit has also not been working properly but the subcontractor will repair the unit under warranty, according to Hook.
The potential biggest problem at the wastewater plant is in the liners under the huge aeriation ponds. Hook explains the issue.
Hook said he will keep the council updated on the issues.
