For David McDougall, he has the best of two worlds...fly fishing and painting. Thursday, at Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library, an artist's reception was held for his art show called "Pools, Runs, and Riffles."
A fly fishing guide during the fishing season, McDougall takes pictures of his surroundings and during the off months, he paints from those photos. He says, for him, it's a 'Zen' sort of thing.
McDougall has guided fly fishermen for five years and knows his waters. It's his job.
Cindy Mohseni,an artist herself, was very impressed with McDougall's work.
Much of McDougall's work is set off by the frames he meticulously puts together. The show will run through February and can be found on the mezzanine of Fulmer Public Library.
