It's being called potentially the worst environmental disaster in US history. The oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico has impacted thousands of miles of ocean, killed sea life and coastal wildlife, and depleted the jobs and economy of the gulf states, whose livelihoods depend so much upon the water.
The oil has been leaking for weeks now, but it has only been in the last few days that the federal government has stepped up its involvement in the effort to stop the leak and clean up the oil. The issue prompted this week's Bank of Sheridan / sheridanmedia.com poll question: Is the Obama Administration doing a good job responding to the BP oil disaster?
