The Sheridan Planning Commission voted unanimously Monday night to support the plans for a commercial electric company's shop at 775 Lincoln Drive.
Planning commissioners agreed with staff recommendations that construction of certain elements must fall in line with the property's B-1 zoning. Robert Briggs, planning and development director for the city, explains.
Commissioners recommended that the northern face of the building should use a finishing treatment or install simulated siding as well as use ornamental historic lighting that's befitting of a residential area. Briggs says this helps to creates the appearance of a non-commercial street.
