An office building that was originally supposed to house the new offices for Forward Sheridan came before the Sheridan City Planning Commission again on Monday night. The developer was asked to halt construction due to a compliance issue with plans for the building. The City’s design review board originally vetoed the project due to building plans showing a straight roofline along the entire structure. Developer Ron Patterson says updated plans showing changes made the structure compliant.
When building construction began the facility was going to house a small business incubator run by Forward Sheridan, who was also planning on moving their offices to the facility. The construction would have been funded by a grant from the Wyoming Business Council. However, Forward Sheridan recently withdrew their grant application.
Now that the Planning Commission has approved the project Patterson can resume construction and expects the building to be ready by this spring.
