The phone lines are now open to make appointments for public wellness screenings for the annual blood draws offered by Sheridan Memorial Hospital as part of the 2009 Health Fair coming up in September.
The blood draws will be held August 10th through the 21st in the lobby of the hospital from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. weekdays. There will not be a Saturday blood draw this year.
Along with the usual tests that have been offered in the past, there's something new this year explains Sheridan Memorial Community Relations Director Cecile Pattison.
Blood draw results will be mailed to the person by the first week of September, prior to the Health Fair at the college September 12th. While you don't have to bring your results to the Health Fair, Pattision explains why it's a good idea to do so.
Pattison said that since appointment times fill up fast, now is a good time to schedule a screening. To set up an appointment for the blood draw, you can contact the Health Fair hotline at 672-1196 weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
