Phase one of the multi-phase Wyoming Park Project in Sheridan got under way this past summer, and aside from a little bit of a setback courtesy of Mother Nature, the initial phase of the project is all but done. City of Sheridan Engineer Lane Thompson.
Thompson said that there is about two to three weeks of finish-up work on Phase One that will be completed by the contractor in spring of 2012.
Recently the Wyoming Business Council recommended that the SLIB Board not approve grant funding for the additional phases of the project. Thompson says that shouldn't slow the project down.
Thompson stated that Phase Two of the project should go out for bid in February or March of next year, with plans to begin construction in early spring.
Cost of Phase One of the project was approximately $2.19 million. The overall cost of the multi-phase project is estimated at $9.5 million.
