Empower Wyoming, a group aiming to end violence through personal safety training and self-reliance education, will be hosting kids workshops later this month in Buffalo. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, December 18 between 3:45 and 5:45 p.m. at Clear Creek Middle School.
The upcoming class is tailored to kids, where they will learn boundary-setting skills and how to interact in a safe way with both strangers and people they know.
Director of Empower Wyoming, Francine Russell, has been working in the self-defense field since 1989. Russell is a certified instructor for IMPACT Personal Safety with additional training in fighting multiple assailants, fighting blindfolded and defense against an armed assailant.
