The 8th annual “Pennies for Presidents Day” fundraiser is underway in Sheridan. Sheridan Senior Center Activities Director Jane Perkins says it's time to clean out the sofas and lazy-boys for a good cause.
Since the fundraiser is a challenge between several local organizations, Perkins points out there are a handful of places where you can drop off your pennies.
All of the proceeds will be donated to the Wyoming Cares program, which is a charitable agency for Wyoming residents that may need help in times of need. Last year's “Pennies for Presidents Day” fundraiser brought in over $1,600. For more information on the fundraiser you can contact the Sheridan Senior Center at 672-2240.
