With the unofficial kickoff to Buffalo's Christmas season this weekend, many local businesses will have open houses to showcase their stores.
The annual Art Stroll will begin at 9 am Saturday at Deerfield downtown. Pick up a postcard/map from any participating business or at the Chamber of Commerce to fill out along the way. Chamber Director Angela Jarvis explains.
Drop off your completed cards at the Chamber for a chance to win a great prize, Jarvis said.
The Potter's Depot will have their Open House and Sale Saturday from 10 am until 4 pm at the Old Historic Train Depot on Lobban Street. Refreshments, a pottery show and sale will be offered.
The Potter's Depot is located at 75 E. Benteen. Call 684-4555 for more information.
The Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum will also have an open house Saturday from 10 to 3. They will offer 20% off everything in the museum store and have free refreshments as well.
The museum is located on the corner of Fort and Main Streets near the historic Johnson County Courthouse.
And again, don't forget to sample the free chili at the chili feed from 4 to 6 pm, followed by the Lighted Christmas Parade starting at 6.
