Thursday was an open house at the newly renovated and expanded Legacy Pregnancy Resource Center on Coffeen. Sheridan Media's Chris Foy was there and has the story.
Construction began on the Legacy Pregnancy Resource Center expansion project last July, and executive director Maureen Metcalf says the work was completed in early March.
The Legacy Center first opened its doors in 2010, designed to help provide practical help, support and medical services for families facing unplanned pregnancies. Now that the center has expanded, Metcalf explains what additional services and programs they can offer.
And since the center does not receive any state or federal funding, Metcalf says its existence relies entirely on the generosity of the community - and that they could always use more sponsors.
The Legacy Pregnancy Resource Center is located at 847 Coffeen Ave. in Sheridan and all services are free and confidential. For more information, visit www.legacypregnancy.org or call 307-673-4757.
