Just off of Main Street Saturday, a group of four Sheridan residents waved signs that earned them an occasional thumbs up or honk from passersby.
One sign read: "Take the money out of politics" and it was carried by Gary Senier. Senier said he believes those who might have been responsible for the 2008 financial crisis haven't been brought to justice - and that nothing has changed. Here he is explaining what he thinks is wrong with the country's current political system.
Joan Borst stood with a sign that said "Occupy Sheridan" and she said her group has been hoping to get the discussion started in the community, not to convince anyone either way on the left or right spectrum.
Senier said sometimes people yell out "get a job" from their cars, but he said they are all employed and those who aren't are either retired or disabled. He said most people that stop and talk to them end up agreeing on some level.
You can find the group on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Oc... or catch up with them each Saturday between 10 a.m. and noon in Downtown Sheridan.
