The City of Sheridan has implemented the closure of Kendrick Park to vehicle traffic between the hours of 10 pm and 6 am. The decision comes after the Parks Advisory Committee, City Administration and the Kendrick Park Neighborhood Watch group discussed enforcing the closure as a means to regulate the park after dark. City Parks Director Chuck Carbert explains why the decision was made to restrict vehicle access overnight.
Carbert says that the closure only pertains to motor vehicles, as pedestrian and bicycle traffic is still allowed between 10 pm and 6 am. He also stressed that the restricted access will be done on a trial basis to see if conditions improve.
