CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A Mississippi fugitive on the lam for nearly 15 years after being accused of molesting two girls has been ordered held without bail after his capture this week.
The FBI says 63-year-old Edward Eugene Harper was arrested near his mountain camp in the Big Horn Mountains while he was tending sheep Thursday. A Natrona County Circuit judge ruled Friday Harper should be held without bail.
Harper requested to speak to an attorney before deciding whether to fight his extradition to Mississippi.
Harper was one of the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives." He had evaded authorities since skipping a 1994 court hearing in DeSoto County, Miss. Prosecutors say Harper molested two girls - ages 3 and 8 - in Hernando, Miss.
