Cybersecurity, mining technology, and two health and fitness programs may soon become a part of the Sheridan College curriculum.
The Northern Wyoming Community College Board of Trustees gave a unanimous “yay” to have these programs continue down the bureaucratic chain to be considered at the state level. During their regular meeting Thursday night, Interim President Dr. Jon Connolly said these programs were designed and recommended by the college's instructors.
It was also Dr. Connolly's last trustee board meeting as Interim President. Dr. Connolly will continue his current “day job” as Vice President of Academic Affairs, but will soon no longer be “moonlighting,” so to speak.
Dr. Paul Young will take over as Sheridan College President on June 1st .
And there will soon be a vacancy on the board; Trustee Brian King verbally announced his plan to resign from the board, as his family will be moving. King will submit a written resignation in the near future.
