The new Buffalo/Johnson County Recycling Center still has no power, but they are taking materials and have been since late last week.
As of Friday, Rocky Mountain Power was at the site, working to get power to the building, but have only put up a new power pole and strung electrical wires to the site only. They should have power to the building this week, it is believed.
Johnson County Commissioner Smokey Wildeman said the city and county and the contractor building the facility had all reached an agreement to improve the site while waiting for power to be hooked up to the building.
He explains what the improvements are.
The new recycling center is located on Butte Avanue right behind the Econolodge.
