Buffalo will help celebrate National Quilting Month with the annual Quilt Show at the Johnson County Library throughout the month of March.
Quilts will need to be dropped off today and Saturday to be involved in the show, and will begin displaying on Monday, according to Cynthia Twing, Director of the library and a quilter herself.
She said quilting is something that can be taken up at any time with no prior experience.
The Quilt Show will feature a new display this year, Twing said, which is numerous quilts based on the same pattern, with different colors, materials and fabrics all in the same design. It should be interesting, she thought, to see the different interpretations made by each quilter.
Saturday, March 17 will have another special event involving the quilters, and Twing explains further.
Quilts can be dropped off today and Saturday from 10am to 5pm both days, and the Quilt Show can be seen at the library through the end of the month during the library's regular hours.
Vote for your favorite quilt while there for the People's Choice Award.
