A week ago we reported that due to an inability by the Sheridan Heritage Center to make the monthly loan payment to Wyoming Bank and Trust, the Historic Sheridan Inn faced possible foreclosure. The Sheridan Heritage Center Board misinterpreted a letter from the bank sent March 15th, regarding the beginning of a foreclosure proceeding by the bank.
Sheridan Heritage Center Treasurer Renee' Obermueller says that misunderstanding aside, they've recently received some good news about the future of the Inn.
As far as the time line for repayment of the $1.4 million owed to the bank?
By entering into a forbearance agreement with the bank, it allows the SHC time to raise the needed funds.
Renee' said that no details about a fundraiser have been put together just yet, but that it would definitely be sooner rather than later when the Heritage Center kicks off a formal public fundraising campaign.
