The Northern Wyoming Community College District Board got updates from a number of administrators and staff at their meeting in Buffalo last week.
Dr. Paul Young, President of Sheridan College, said he and a number of board members will be attending ACCT's National Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C. In February, along with the two Presidents of student government from Sheridan College and Gillette College.
He hinted it might be time to implement student government at the Johnson County campus as well.
Cheryl Heath, Vice-President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer, reported that the capital construction project at Sheridan College was progressing, with steering committee meetings recently looking at internal plans and drawings for the new Whitney Academic Center. They will be meeting with KWN Construction in February to discuss the Gross Maximum Price for the project.
She also explained the move for Student Services.
Gillette College's Dave Ebertz reported that Dr. Jake Bartlett will be the Choir Director and will start the new music program at Gillette College.
