Many of the construction projects in the Sheridan area are getting close to completion. The roadwork to prepare for a traffic light at Brundage Lane and Sugarland Drive is almost done.
The downtown Brooks Street Phase II project should be complete in the next several weeks. The contractor hopes to have Burkitt Street in front of the Sheridan County Courthouse open by the end of this week.
While many of the large projects are wrapping up, smaller projects will cause some minor delays or detours in the next few days. One of those projects is the culvert work on County Road 84 or Wildcat Road. The road will be closed for the entire day tomorrow (Wednesday). The County Public Works Department will block the road three tenths of a mile from State Highway 336, right near the Railroad underpass. Drivers who use Wildcat Road should plan on taking an alternate route. They expect to have the road open by 4 in the afternoon.
The work continues on Buffalo Creek Road, County Road 86 this week. The road will remain closed today and starting tomorrow there will be intermittent openings for four-wheel-drive vehicles only until the project is complete.
