The Sheridan School District 2 board of trustees met for their July meeting last night. Superintendent Craig Dougherty gave an update on Capital Construction projects, chiefly the timeline for the new Meadowlark Elementary School.
While he'd hoped the process would get underway sooner, he tells us a bit later start date would be better
He says they've been working rigorously to get the old Highland Park School ready for the 2-year interim period Meadowlark students will be there while their new school is under construction.
Also at the meeting, Career Counselor at Sheridan High School, Ed Fessler, presented a thorough breakdown from the Student Planning Office from the past school year. The word he said best described the year was “up,” meaning that the number of students who took PSAT and SAT Exams, Advanced Placement Exams and ACT Exams.
