Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey visited the Sheridan Rotary Club on Friday to deliver his State of the City address. The overall outlook for Sheridan is bright despite the cutting back that must be done in the current economic climate. Kinskey says the City is on the right track but will have to make do with less for now.
Additionally, Kinskey says the recycling program may be expanded in the future. It will help extend the life of the landfill by diverting the recyclables before they get there.
Infrastructure maintenance and repair projects continue to be a high priority for the City and the Mayor would like to see continued support of economic development efforts that could bring in diverse industries. This could help move Sheridan’s economy further away from the boom and bust cycle of the energy industry.
