Wyoming Secretary of State, Max Maxfield, will get his day in court today as he challenges term limits for himself and other elected officials in the state. Maxfield is bringing the case before the Wyoming Supreme Court today as a private citizen in light of a 2004 ruling that rejected term limits for state legislators. Maxfield explains.
Maxfield said it doesn't make constitutional sense that state legislators do not have term limits, but other elected officials do.
Maxfield insists the matter must be rectified via a constitutional amendment. Wyoming Attorney General, Greg Phillips will be arguing in favor of the state statute currently used to defend term limits.
