State Representative for House District 40 Mike Madden said this week has been busy at the Legislature, with many topics discussed.
One main topic that took a lot of time, he said, had to do with wind farms. He talks about HB191, concerning taxation on wind farms.
One topic that seems to be dividing the state is concerning education and two bills were before this year's Legislature, SF 52 concerning teacher tenure which failed, and SF 70, the Education Accountability Bill. Madden tells us what happened with the two bills.
Madden said an amendment to that bill to address some of the issues in SF 52 is still a possibility.
Finally, Madden said in the upcoming week, the Legislature will be looking at some new technology that may be good news to the coalbed methane industry and Northeast Wyoming.
