K-12 students in the Arvada-Clearmont School took a break from their usual class schedule yesterday to host all four state legislators from Sheridan County.
Senators John Schiffer and Bruce Burns, and House Representatives Rosie Berger and Mike Madden talked to the students about what they do both in and out of state legislative sessions in Cheyenne. Madden said the visit to the school, to many of the younger students, served as an introduction to the concept of a citizen-run government.
Opportunities for visitations like this are getting rarer because the legislators are slated to get busy again next month.
