This weekend is this year's last chance to unload items for free at the city landfill. Solid waste superintendent, Charles Martineau, said the twice-yearly “free dump weekends” are part of a community beautification initiative.
There will still be a fee for air conditioning units that need to be decommissioned and tires, but almost everything else is carte blanche. The landfill is opens at 7:30 in the morning and closes at 5:30 p.m.
