The record-breaking heat wave of the summer was bad news for crops this year, but good news for the ice cream hut in Kendrick Park.
Sheridan Recreation District business manager, Rich Bridger, reported the ice cream stand sold approximately 6,000 gallons of ice cream this summer, which equates to more than $13,200 of revenue. In the past, sales have been between $10-12,000. Profits from summer sales go into the Recreation District's general fund. Bridger said this year's most popular flavor was “Moose Tracks.”
