Sheridan County Democrats gathered at Kendrick Park Saturday for free food, family fun, and a time to get to know some of the Democratic candidates running for office this year. Acting chair of the Sheridan County Democrats, Shannon Anderson said it was a good way to get the local party folks out.
The event turn-out might have been small, maybe 30 people, but a core group of Sheridan County democrats showed up to support the candidates and each other.
The biennial event is celebrated each August to honor John B. Kendrick, a Democrat who served as Wyoming’s governor from 1915-1917 and then in the U.S. Senate from 1917 until 1933.
