Monday we told you about some of the strategies that local law enforcement is using to try and thwart underage drinking at the street dances in Sheridan. Throughout the year, the Sheridan County Justice Office has a contract with Volunteers of America for 48 hour hold services for minors who've been picked up and their parents cannot be reached.
Justice Office Administrator Neal Madson says that they've been involved since day one with the agreement between VOA and the City to hold minors who've been cited for underage drinking at the street dance.
Madson feels that the program is working, but can still be improved upon in the future.
This will be the third year that the agencies have collaborated to have a holding facility for minors.
