At their last meeting the Johnson County Commissioners had a number of postponements on their agenda, and updated each other on happenings at their various boards.
Commissioner John Gibbs said fencing along Fairgrounds Road has begun to be installed. He said there has been a lot of cooperation between the Fair Board, installer and residents along the road to get the fence installed to everyone's liking.
Gibbs said the fence isn't much to look at now but will be attractive when complete and future maintenance will be an easy job.
He explains further.
Fencing has been installed with appropriate gaps to allow for gates to be added, Gibbs said, and residents will be approached to see if they want them.
To make the bids the same on the project, gates were not added to the bid process, Gibbs said, and if residents want gates, they will be an add-on to the project.
Gibbs finished by saying the residents in the area seemed to be happy with the project so far.
