The Johnson County Commissioners, at their regular meeting this Tuesday, will discuss, and are expected to make a decision regarding the hiring of a new commissioner's assistant, according to Commission Chair Smokey Wildeman.
The current assistant, Peggy Sillivan, will retire on June 24th, and a new assistant is needed to fill her position.
Also at the commissioner's meeting, they will get an update on the Butch and Sundance Statue from the Wild Bunch.
They will discuss a budget amendment for an airport grant, and a presentation will be made by Sheriff Steve Kozisek and Ryan Mulholland of Sheridan regarding the new telephone system in the new justice center.
The commission will hear updates from WyDOT, county planner Rob Yingling on zoning issues, and the airport board.
And county citizens on Fairgrounds Road will approach the commission regarding water line easement agreements and the possibility of them getting city water from the county-owned water line.
The meeting will begin at 9 am Tuesday, June 21st upstairs in the Johnson County Courthouse.
