Avoiding conflict of interest was the reasoning behind Johnson County Attorney Ken DeCock's decision to request an agreement between his office and the Sheridan County Attorney's Office to provide special prosecutors for each other when necessary.
Johnson County Deputy Attorney Christian Lukjan explained the request to the commissioners at their last meeting.
Resolution No. 423, officially asking for approval, was drawn and passed by the county commissioners.
Also approved by the Commission was the signing of the promissory note for the County loan to the Town of Kaycee to complete their solid waste transfer station. The 15-year note is for $142,000 and is interest-free. The money will be used to purchase equipment for the transfer station.
The Commission also approved the contract renewal for Family Health/Maternal Health Services with the Johnson County Public Health Nurse. The contract is for fiscal year 2011-2012 and will not exceed $64,000.
