The Johnson County Commission accepted two grants earlier this month, one from Homeland Security and the other from the Wyoming Department of Health.
Commissioner Smokey Wildeman explains what the Homeland Security Grant is all about.
The County accepted the grant.
Also approved was Resolution No. 440, which increases the County's General budget by the grant award amount. The Resolution was to accept a $12,000 Emergency Preparedness Grant from the Wyoming Department of Health for help in funding a County Health Officer.
The grant is a renewal of a grant that was awarded to the county last year.
