At their regular meeting Monday night, the Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees got updates from District Business Manager Matt Ramey on the new school crossing signs on South Main Street and the status of construction at the new Cloud Peak School.
Ramey said the two solar-powered flashing school crossing signs have been installed on South Main Street. No flashing signs will be installed on Fort Street, he said, as that area will not be a school zone once the district moves out of that building.
He told the board that he would like to see similar signage installed on South Burritt Street once the new Cloud Peak School is operational.
The Cloud Peak School Project is progressing, he said, and explained more about where the project is now.
Construction on the project is expected to be completed next year, with classes set to begin in the fall of 2013.
