At Monday night's Johnson County School Board meeting, one of their members was recognized by the State board for a recent accomplishment.
Johann Nield, Area 7 Director for the Wyoming School Board Association, presented Gerry Miller with credentials for becoming a Certified Board Member.
Miller received a certificate and pin for the achievement, which is the first level of individual board member recognition. The next step would be to achieve both levels of the Certified Master Board Member status.
Training for board members is encouraged by the WSBA, with the goal of improving individual and whole board effectiveness in operating their districts, with the ultimate goal of focusing school districts on student performance and achievement.
