At the Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees meeting last week, the board heard a mostly positive update from District Business Manager Matt Ramey on construction and remodeling at the district's schools.
The remodeling project at Meadowlark Elementary has been completed, he said, although a drainage project to get water away from the building wasn't completed before the schoolyear began.
The moat has been filled in and sod will be installed at the drain site.
The new Cloud Peak School project is progressing and on schedule for the most part. Some aspects are behind, others ahead of schedule. The building is expected to be enclosed (walls and roof completed) by October 31, when work on the interior of the building should begin.
The Cloud Peak School project is expected to be completed in time for students to begin classes in the fall of 2013.
