The Johnson County School District 1 Board of Trustees held their second meeting of March in Kaycee last Monday, and approved a number of employment requests and heard an update on the Cloud Peak School project.
Employment requests approved included a recommendation for Mary Ann Cummins as Assistant Track Coach at Clear Creek Middle School.
She will be paid 7.5% of base, or a total contract amount of $4,305.
Also approved was a transfer for Laurie Anderson from Secretary to Administrative Assistant at Buffalo High School, and the resignation of Jay Camino as the Head Wrestling Coach at BHS.
The board also got an update on where the Cloud Peak School project is now from Business Manager Matt Ramey.
He said he attended the School Facilities Commission Meeting in mid-March, where they approved the project and gave the district the go-ahead, after moving nearly $260,000 of state money into the account to cover a project budget shortfall.
Dirtwork, he said was tentatively scheduled to begin the second week in April.
