The Board of Trustees for Johnson County School District One approved requests for early graduation at their last meeting.
Early graduation was approved for three students at Buffalo High School, at the the request of Principal Chad Bourgeois.
He explains how students can become eligible for early graduation.
After students declare their intent to graduate early, exit interviews are conducted with the students to determine if their requests should be approved. Some students actually decide to stay for their last semester of high school, Bourgeois said, but some still choose to leave early.
Students leave to begin college or trade school or to pursue employment he said.
Two of the students have enrolled at the University of Wyoming for the Spring Semester and the third will enroll at school in Casper.
Every year BHS has some students apply for early graduation but the last few years in particular they have had anywhere from two to six students apply.
